As a child, I was one of those kids who was always complaining about stomach pain. Looking back, I suspect stress played a much bigger role in my gut than anyone realized. As I got older, my skin joined the party, and what felt like a stress-gut-skin signaling frenzy began. Like so many of my clients, I bounced from doctor to dermatologist searching for answers, only to be offered prescription medications that never addressed why my symptoms were happening. Accutane? No, thank you.
My perspective on health was forever changed after losing my mother to colon cancer in her 50s. I saw firsthand how quickly good health can slip away, and I knew I wanted to help people protect and restore theirs before they reached that point.
I became a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Esthetician because I believed there was a powerful
connection between gut and skin health long before the gut-skin axis became mainstream.
My own breakthrough came through functional testing, which uncovered the underlying contributors to my digestive symptoms and skin concerns. Today, I successfully manage microscopic colitis without steroids, and my skin, once a source of frustration, is now something people often compliment.
That journey became the foundation of my work as The Derma Dietitian®. My goal is to help you uncover what’s driving your symptoms and create a personalized plan that restores your health without sacrificing the joy of living well. I want you to understand your body, feel empowered to make informed decisions about your health, and finally feel comfortable in your own skin.
